Art Therapy for Children & Adolescent
It was thought that children and adolescent could not be depressed or feel anxiety. But, recent researches have shown that children, like everyone else are not immune to this emotionally drained condition. They also feel depression, anxiety, anger and often do not have the capacity to fight with these issues. They are not able to communicate their feelings accurately enough for parents to realize they are going through emotional trauma.

It is therefore very important to provide a safe and healthy outlet for children who are fighting with depression. They may further need psychological therapy and counseling. In a study, art therapy was used to help suicidal teenagers, and results showed that it indeed has positive effect as part of an overall treatment plan.
